Sharing the Classic Downtown Las Vegas MicroWedding with Ashley & Brian today. These two were so much fun and Ashley definitely gives me Jennifer Lawrence vibes.

They had a super chill, easy elopement with a few friends and even a surprise guest that the bride had no idea about. Ashley’s best friend officiated the wedding and had everyone smiling and laughing. The ceremony was held in the pink Cadillac inside the tunnel of love. Afterwards, we headed to the Neon Museum and then finalized the evening on Freemont Street in downtown.

Had such a great time with this group and I am so happy that COVID didn’t get in the way of them getting married and celebrating.

Amanda & Matt came to vegas all the way from Ohio to get married. They brought a few of their best friends, and did the classic chapel wedding with Elvis. After their ceremony, I met up with the group in downtown Vegas on Freemont street for photos. Amanda mentioned that she wanted to include her friends with playful fun photos of the day.

Here is their story as told by the bride:

“We came to Vegas for my 30th birthday and fell in love with the city. We loved the old neon lights and the Fremont Area due to the history and all the vibrant colors. We always joked about having a Vegas wedding since we were friends! Now, we are making that a reality! We watched a video of an Elvis ceremony and we couldn’t stop laughing. It felt like the perfect match for our silly and playful personalities. “

Very excited to be sharing this Tunnel of Love Elopement today. Michelle & Aaron had their small elopement ceremony inside the tunnel of love at the little white chapel in downtown Las Vegas. Prior to the ceremony, we walked around in downtown Freemont street for some Vegas style photos.

Their story

“How we met – It was a Wednesday. I will never forget Aaron walking in to my new hire orientation, late, and sitting at my table. I remember thinking he was so darn cute, and I was upset that I chose to wear my (big square) purple glasses.

Later that day Aaron messaged me privately on the work’s chat, apologizing for not inviting me to get a coffee with him, and I knew from that moment that something good was about to start. When orientation was done for the day, I procrastinated packing my bag in hopes of talking to him some more, and it worked!

We talked all the way back to the garage, and he stopped by the stairs/elevators to talk to me, but I thought he was waiting for the elevator, so I left (and in my mind I thought, how lazy is he waiting for the elevator with another 50 people in line hehe).

We chatted again the next day, and that’s when he invited me out Friday night to meet him and friends (what I didn’t know is that he just ruined guys night, oops). But the night was perfect, and he invited me to go watch some NFL Playoffs on Sunday. I thought, this guy is just drunk, he’ll forget. But Sunday morning he texted, making sure we’re still on, and now here we are 3 years later, getting married in Vegas!

After a bit of dating I remember bringing up how embarrassed I was about my glasses that day we met, but he confessed and said he sat at my table because he saw me in my glasses, and loved them. Also, he said he had stopped by the elevator to talk to me some more, that he was parked on the 1st floor, but oh well, I guess we didn’t need those extra 5 minutes so still have our fairy tale <3 “

Had such an amazing day with these two sweethearts. Their semi casual wedding attire fit in perfect with the fun vibe of the day. A bride in a leather jacket always makes me smile.

Ceremony Venue: Little White Chapel

A little side note if you are considering this chapel. Have wiggle room of probably 45 minutes in your timeline for the ceremony. My last few weddings here were late by at least 30 minutes. I don’t remember that happening before, but it seems to be occurring lately. We often schedule a pretty tight timeline with photos, so keep it in mind.

Today I am sharing this amazing Neon Museum Anniversary Photo Shoot with Shallon & Rashid. It has been awhile since I have had a chance to blog, sorry about that. This is the perfect shoot to start back up with after the holidays.

Shallon & Rashid took a trip to Vegas to celebrate their anniversary. Besides hanging out at the hotel in pajamas and eating at delicious restaurants, they got all dressed up to take some photos during their visit.

The photo session was booked at the Neon Museum in their north lot for 30 minutes. Since we had some time left over afterwards, we finished up their hour on Freemont street.

I just love Shallon’s black mini dress. She said she worked hard for her booty and wanted to show it off. If I had a body like her I would be wanting to show it off too. The sweetest couple, so glad they found me.

Thrilled to be sharing Amy & Tyrone’s Tunnel of Love Wedding Vegas. Editing this wedding reminds me of my favorite things about weddings. The pure joy and love and huge smiles on the faces of two people who love the crap out of each other. Truly, my favorite thing.

Amy’s smile kept making me smile the whole time I was editing.

Their Story

” We have never been a traditional couple, getting engaged in McDonald’s! We knew we always wanted to elope, the ‘Big Day’ just isn’t for us. Plus this way we get to spend our day just together experiencing Vegas and a great holiday together. Have been together 11 years. We are each others best friends; sharing a lot of the same interests and hobbies. “

The Wedding Day

We spent two hours together to capture all of these photos. The day started at the Little White chapel. They chose the tunnel of love for their ceremony, and for it to take place inside the pink Cadillac. They sat in the back seat, and the officiant was just outside the car.

After the ceremony, we headed down to Freemont Street. They had booked the neon museum for a 30 minute shoot at the end of the day. So we walked around and shot some photos in the area surrounding Freemont downtown.

Finally, we ended in the north lot of the neon museum.

Tunnel of Love Wedding Vegas

Jenny, Calum, and their closest friends and family had a Dry Lake Bed Wedding In Las Vegas just a few weeks ago.

Here is their story: “We chose to get married in Vegas as we loved it so much from holidays there, we also don’t like too much fuss and this was ideal. Then our son came along meaning we had to move our wedding date, he was due a week before we were supposed to fly, bad planning. So we are now having an even more unconventional Vegas wedding by including a 5 month old baby, but we can’t wait to experience this with him now. This will be the 3rd time we have tried to plan a wedding after 8 years together so hopefully the third time is lucky.”

The day started with everyone arriving out in the middle of the dry lake bed in limos.  The boys and guests came first.  A bit later the bride and her girls pulled up.  It was quite a site to watch all of the men depart the limo in their kilts.  Jenny & Calum are from Scotland and all of the men wore the traditional garb.  I could tell right away that they were going to be a fun group.  The limo driver was pretty smitten with all the guys and insisted on getting a few photos with them.

The wedding was officiated by Flora Pop and her adorable teardrop trailer provided the backdrop as well as home to the donuts and champagne.  Jenny stayed in the limo until it was time to walk down the aisle.  Once everyone was in position, she emerged from the limo and walked down her desert aisle.  The ceremony was intimate and beautiful.  Afterwards everyone had champagne and donuts and we took group photos and couples photos.

Their son Jacob slept much of the time but emerged from his naps happy and ready for photos.  He was the easiest baby to photograph ever.  Looked right into the camera almost every time.

After the dry lake bed, everyone headed down to Freemont Street to party.  Jenny & Calum wanted a few night time shots on Freemont street and their friends and family just hung out and had some drinks while we did that.  Freemont street is pretty busy at night and there are a lot of street performers.  There was people coming up to the group sometimes curious if they were all performers in their kilts.  All the tourists just loved all the Scottish men and the guests.  One lady said “I’m going to Scotland, everyone there is gorgeous!”  I have to agree with her.  Everyone was beautiful.

This Destination Elopement In Las Vegas is of the amazing couple Ziqi & Zazu.  Ziqi & Zazu live in Miami and chose Las Vegas for their destination wedding.  I met up with them the day before their actual ceremony.  Zazu did a trial hair and makeup with the fabulous team over at Atomic Style Lounge.  She went with a vintage retro look for hair and makeup and it looked like it was the perfect choice.

Zazu had two white dresses that she wore for our time together.  We started off downtown Freemont to capture some of the fun and lights down there.  Our last stop was the Neon Museum.  They reserved the North Lot for a half hour photo shoot.  Zazu changed into her second dress which is the dress she planned to wear on the actual wedding day.

This Las Vegas Couples Photo Shoot of Yvonne & WZ was so much fun.  The pair made their first trip to Las Vegas this November from their home of Singapore.  Yvonne contacted me about doing an editorial style couples shoot at several locations in Vegas.  She wanted the look of a magazine type session.  We started off at the Neon Museum just as the sun was going down.  We had a good mix of day and night time shots there with the lit neon signs.  Yvonne & WZ are already married, even though it looks like this could be their wedding day.

Yvonne changed outfits before heading down to the bright neon lights at Freemont Street.  We headed to a few of the art murals and then down to the Freemont Street Experience.  On our way, they loved the fire breathing Praying Mantis in front of Container Park.  We had to wait for just the right time to get the fire shooting out.

These two definitely brought their A game.  They wanted to look like the photos were out of a magazine, and I would say that with their cool style and great posing, mission accomplished.

Paul & Katie had a pretty kick ass elopement last week and I could not be happier that I was the one to photograph it.  Paul & Katie live in Australia.  Here is their story, short and sweet, as told by the couple: “Went to primary school together from grade 1 in 1990, to grade 7 in 1996. Different high schools. Lived in neighboring suburbs and hung out at the same places but never ran into each other. Reconnected on FB in 2012. Here we are, dating since 2012.”

What an epic day we all had together!  Katie & Paul started off their day at the Graceland Wedding Chapel where they were officially married by Elvis!  I met them right afterwords just outside of the chapel to start our day of adventure.  After walking around the chapel a bit, we headed off to their hotel room at the Cosmopolitan.  They got a cake from the Milk Bar inside the hotel, and what a fabulous cake it was.  (I got to taste a bite so I can officially say it was the bomb)  They enjoyed cake, a toast, a cigar, and a little jumping on the bed even.

We walked around the Cosmo a bit for some photos inside.  The hotel is full of all kinds of cool artsy stuff.  Next, we headed down to Freemont Street for some photos under the neon lights.  All in all, it was one of my favorite days of shooting.  We had a bunch of time to play around and get all kinds of photos in different locations and lighting situations.  Who knew that Paul smoking a cigar on the patio of the hotel room could make for such a fun photo op.

Their rings are engraved with the Queen of Hearts and King of Hearts, perfectly fitting with a Vegas wedding.

The shot above and below are similar but I just couldn’t choose.  The image above has a limo or car behind them but the one below has a big bus driving by and I just love how it looks.

Cool Las Vegas Elopement

Chris & Lorraine were such a picture perfect couple for eloping at the Neon Museum & Freemont Street.

Their elopement story as told by Chris: “We are eloping to Las Vegas on our own after being engaged for almost 3 years. We realized we couldn’t face the prospect of a big traditional wedding and all the pressures and time constraints that came with it. Eloping to las vegas seemed like a perfect option as we love the city (it was the location of our first holiday together) and we love travelling, having gotten engaged in Thailand.”

We started our time together at the Neon Museum.  The bigger of the lots, the Main Lot, is where we were booked.  Chris & Lorraine were looking pretty fashionable.  Lorraine wore a mid length Christian Dior dress and purple Manolo Blahnik heels that were just seriously to die for.  She even wore them the whole time for 2 hours of walking around!

Part way through our time at the Neon Museum, it started to rain a little bit.  Thankfully the Neon Museum had some umbrellas and Chris & Lorraine didn’t let it put a damper on their day.  Once we headed over to Freemont street, the rain picked up quite a bit and we only had a few minutes in un-covered areas for photos.  We had to get a little bit creative and make use of covered areas such as parking structures and the sides of the casinos.

Their photo shoot just proves that even if things don’t go as planned, you can sometimes make it work out even better then it would have.
