Today’s blog is the Warm Las Vegas Desert Elopement of Amaris & Luis. Here is there story as told by each of them:
“It all started with a message. I was just looking for friends in the area since I had just moved to South Florida, but I never thought I would find the love of my life in the process. He was the one guy who took the time to get to know me and to get to know the real me. After about a month we decided it was time to meet up for the first time and the rest was history. This man who so perfectly matched my soul, completely swept me off my feet. We share the same love for all things nerdy, we have the same tastes in music, we are major foodies, we love travel, the same movies and most importantly we share the same feelings about each other. 100% love and dedication.
After 5 beautiful and adventurous years together, he proposed to me during a trip to Seattle on the top of the space needle while the sun was setting. ( I know, totally romantic and perfect) Now we are off to our next adventure, Eloping to Las Vegas! We are already a very unique and quirky couple, so from the beginning we knew that eloping would be the best choice for us. We wanted to show our individuality and love in an intimate way. We knew we wanted it to be stress-free and all about us dedicating to one another.” -Amaris (Future Mrs. Santiago)
“In the weeks leading up to the big trip, nerves began to set in. Everything started to become so real. It went from talking and thinking about proposing in Seattle to picking out the ring and planning the entire day. Nobody knew what was going to happen other than my brother and his wife. The moment had to be perfect. I circled the top of the needle waiting for the right time, praying for a second of privacy among the crowd.
Finally it happened! The nerves had worked their way from my stomach to my mouth and I almost choked out the words. She only realized what was happening after I knelt and presented her with the ring. The smile on her face will live on in my memories forever. She agreed to be my wife and now we start the rest of our lives.” -Luis Santiago
As I am sure you can tell from reading their story, these two are the absolute sweetest. Their vows were so meaningful and sweet, I definitely teared up a little.
We met up in the Mojave desert just outside of town. Among the cacti and Joshua Trees, Angie with Peachy keen unions officiated the most beautiful intimate ceremony. Just the 4 of us had the whole place to ourselves. After being officially announced husband and wife, we took a few portraits, they shared a coke, and fed each other donuts.
