Those 3 people up there, boy do I love them.
This is kind of a rambling personal post intermingled with photos of my family, because everything looks better with pictures and this post is kind of about them. Owning a business is hard. It is super duper rewarding, but it does not come easy. Ever since I was younger, I knew I wanted to own my own business. I didn’t want a boss telling me what to do and I didn’t want to have to wake up early every day. There were other reasons too of course, but those were most important when I was young. I do feel very fortunate to have found a way to make money doing something I truly love. I am super thankful for my business and what I have achieved thus far. But, let me tell you, just because you start off strong, doesn’t mean that there wont be challenges along the way. Being soley responsible for the success of your business is stressful at times, to say the least.
I couldn’t do what I do without the support system I have from my family. My husband is always trying to fix everything for me, and most times I just want him to listen. This week though I actually let him fix things and it was so simple. I was having a bad day, or a bad week, and was feeling really sad and down. He told me to get dressed and grab my camera and we were all going to go do a photo shoot. Me going to do what I love with the people I love most was perfect. It didn’t have to be planned out with the perfect clothes and the perfect location. We could just go and take some pictures and make some memories and just be thankful for each other. And that is what we did. It just so happens that today is actually Mylo’s 9 month birthday.
How could you have a bad day when you get that smile directed at you? Work can be hard and life can be full of stress, but if you sit down and appreciate what you have right in front of you, it is hard to be sad and feel sorry for yourself. If your feeling down you just gotta pick yourself up, fully enjoy the ones you love, and then you will remember why you do what you do.
These people are the reason I do what I do. After looking at them, how could I ever feel down.
XO-Jamie
