Anissa & Mike’s Rockstar Vegas Elopement: Tattoos, Red Cups & Sidewalk Cake
Anissa and Mike’s Las Vegas elopement was everything their love story has been from the start—impulsive, romantic, wildly exciting, and straight out of a movie. What began with a chance Bumble match in June 2023 quickly turned into a whirlwind cross-Atlantic love story that brought two families—and two worlds—together in the most unexpected and beautiful way.
A Love Story With Rockstar Energy
When Anissa and Mike finally met in person, they didn’t yet know that he lived in the UK and she lived in Toronto. Their first date changed everything. They spent every possible minute together during the two weeks Mike was visiting, creating a bond strong enough to cross continents.
Two weeks after he flew home, Anissa hopped on a plane to the UK. From that moment, the back-and-forth between countries became their rhythm. Mike met her son, Anissa met his two children, and in what felt like no time at all, they became a family of five.
Mike—a musician, songwriter, producer, and record-label owner—proposed onstage on August 25th, in true rock-and-roll style. By December, they secured their first home together in Toronto, packed up Mike’s UK studio, and shipped everything across the ocean to begin building their new life. Today, they’re creating a music studio in their home and preparing to launch a Canadian label together.
A Wild & Intimate Vegas Elopement
Although they’ll marry in Tuscany later, Anissa and Mike wanted a wedding that captured the intensity and impulsive passion of their relationship. Vegas was the only answer. With just her best friend and her husband as witnesses, the day unfolded with the perfect mix of spontaneity and romance.
After their ceremony at Sure Thing Chapel, the newlyweds headed straight to Downtown Tattoo to mark the day—literally—with wedding tattoos. From there, they wandered the streets of downtown Las Vegas with drinks in classic red plastic cups, laughing, kissing, and soaking up the neon glow.
Their night ended in the most Vegas way possible: eating wedding cake on the sidewalk, completely wrapped up in each other and the thrill of it all.
Forever Starts With Fun
Anissa describes Mike as “my rockstar with the biggest heart,” and their Vegas elopement embodied exactly that. A celebration of adventure, destiny, and two people choosing each other again and again—across oceans, time zones, and now under the bright lights of Las Vegas.
This wasn’t just an elopement. It was the beginning of the next great chapter in their incredible love story.
