When I had my first baby, I had lots of shoes for her before she was even born.  Then, I learned, that new baby’s don’t really wear shoes.  They constantly fall off and get lost.  Plus, how often does your baby even really go out in public when they are new.  So, I held off with Mylo (baby #2).  I have been tempted plenty of times, but not until just a couple weeks ago did he get his first pair of shoes.

Behold, the Freshly Picked Baby Moccasins.  The creator was featured on Shark Tank on ABC.  I had been following her online and seeing all of the adorable babies and toddlers in their super stylish mocs.  Luckily I was able to get a pair and I am very much a fan.  There are so many cute colors to choose from for girls or boys.  I got camo, perfect for my little guy.  The shoes arrive in a cute little bag with a pin and the mocs inside.  The quality of the leather is super thick and sturdy.  There is an elastic band around the ankle part so they actually stay on and don’t fall off.  You can stretch it out to easily get the foot in.  Mylo has chunky little feet and ankles and these shoes go on no problem.  He isn’t walking yet, so I can’t really say how that will go but I have seen lots of photos online of kids wearing them all over the place and they seem to hold up great.  I’m a little sad because his are not going to last much longer at his rate of growth but I definitely plan to get another pair(Maybe 1 size too big next time).  Mylo seems to like them and doesn’t try to pull them off.  So, if this little review has left you wanting a pair for your little one, your in luck!  I will be giving away a pair on my blog!!!  I’m so excited.  The giveaway will start on May 1st and will be held right here on the blog.  I will be posting links on social media to remind you.  If you don’t have a little one yourself, these would sure make an awesome gift to somebody you know.

I can’t believe my little guy is already 8 months old.  I really do think time goes even faster when it is your second baby.  His cute little chubbiness is already going away so I just had to get some naked pictures.  I had a short little window of time where I was able to just take him out back and put him on the grass.  Of course he peed right away so I wasn’t able to photograph much of those cute chubby legs.  I love all of his little facial expressions.

My cute little guy Mylo just turned 6 months old.  We did a quick photo shoot with him on Christmas day.  I had the idea for this shoot for awhile.  Me and my husband were big fans of the band The Descendents when we were younger.  When we chose the name Mylo, it always reminded me of the lead singer of the band named Milo.  We didn’t name our baby after him or anything but once we decided on the name I knew we would be getting him a descendents onesie.  Then we saw the perfect one which says Parents, Why won’t they shut up.  Seemed perfect for a little baby.  The singer wears glasses very much like the ones we found for Mylo’s pictures, so we had to add those.  We actually found them at the Build a Bear Workshop, little bears and little babies are almost the same size.  So he is our cute little punk rock hipster baby.  He still isn’t sitting by himself or standing alone either so the poses are limited.  I have a goal to take more photos of him since I have been totally slacking.

Its so hard to believe that my little Mylo has grown so much.  It truly does go super fast.  In these pictures he is 6 weeks, now he is just over 9 weeks.  As you can tell I haven’t  been working a whole lot yet or even taking too many photos of my little man.  I am slowly getting back to work little by little and will be pretty busy again come September.  Mylo is getting easier by the day, but has still been quite difficult to do a proper photo shoot with.  I’m thinking the next month or two is going to make a big difference.  He is smiling and cooing more all the time and will lay down for a bit alone without screaming his little head off.

Slowly but surely there will be alot more frequent posting on here again.

I finally got a chance to post more photos from Mylo’s first photo shoot.  I gotta admit that it was tougher then I thought it would be.  When you are healing from giving birth and trying to take pictures of your own fussy newborn who wants to be held all the time and you have a toddler that suddenly wants to get photographed, it can be tricky.  Mylo was about 1 week old here.  He is finally calming down and becoming a much happier baby so I definitely plan on doing a round 2 soon.

Mylo was born on June 21st, the summer solstice.  His middle name is Thomas, my dad’s name.  We both felt truly blessed to have a boy, that is what we really wanted.  I love my daughter but really wanted a chance to raise one of each.  This will be our last baby and I feel complete with our little family of 4.  My husband made it till about 35 weeks before he gave in and found out the sex, so no he wasn’t surprised on the day of delivery, but it didn’t make it any less special.

I am still officially on maternity leave until August.  So, you will probably be seeing lots of these two kiddos on the blog in the mean time.
